Little Ongava celebrates the intimacy and exclusivity of safari. With just three suites, each surrounded by dramatic big-game scenes, it offers you the very best of an Etosha safari.
The suites at Little Ongava are so good it’s sometimes hard to tear yourself away and go on safari. A huge bedroom is at the centre of the thatch and stone suite, complemented by a lounge with fireplace, plus a spectacular bathroom. Sliding doors lead you out onto a private deck and infinity pool, where you can gaze over the wilderness and admire wandering wildlife.
Each suite is carefully secluded and we’d highly recommend Little Ongava for honeymooning couples. The three suites can also be booked together for an exclusive six-person safari. Everything is linked by elegant wooden walkways to a main thatched lodge, where there are a range of decks for admiring the waterhole below.
Whenever we’ve visited, there’s been some stunning sights directly from the lodge, including lions, rhinos, and elephants. When you want to explore further the guides lead you on private programs in both Etosha National Park and the lodge’s private game reserve. Game drives and guided walks are available so we’d recommend a varied program. Also don’t miss the hidden hideouts that are great for photographing big animals.
Little Ongava has a price tag that matches its quality. If your budget stretches this far then you definitely won’t be disappointed. The service is outstanding and the safari activities create new definitions of intimacy.
Some of the walking activities require children to be 16.
